2nd Blogoversary Giveaway: Rocky Mountain Heat by Vivian Arend

*checks teeth* Yep, we’re still two! That means I can go ahead with the giveaways for the blogoversary (because you were wondering, right?). This week, I’m sharing the first book of one of my favorite contemporary series’ with you plus some special swag.

There’s not much Vivian Arend writes that I don’t like – she has a serious knack for writing guys that I can’t read about without wearing a bib – and her Six Pack Ranch series is no exception. Sizzling hot dudes in cowboy boots and jeans who say, “ma’am?” Rawr. But the books are also about family, work and some serious issues. And hot guys. *sigh*

This goodness must be spread around, and thanks to the generosity of the author, I get to do that. Check out the awesome stuff I get to give away:

  • Signed copy of Rocky Mountain Heat (Six Pack Ranch #1) by Vivian Arend (My Review)
  • RT 2012 Western Roundup Tote Bag
  • Tissue Pack (trust me, you’ll need them)
  • Six Pack Ranch Bottle Opener (oh yeah, you’ll need this for a cold one when the time comes)
  • Six Pack Ranch Lip Balm (ahem – your significant other will appreciate you and Vivian)
  • Magnetic Bookmark from Purely Chic Designs – I love these for keeping my spot in books without damaging pages and not slipping out like regular bookmarks

The details: because of the shipping costs, this giveaway is US/Can only – I’m going to have at least two more giveaways this month that will be open to international entries though! Giveaway will close at midnight November 14th – all the nitty gritty fine points where I go into first born claiming is on our Giveaway Policy page. Follow the Rafflecopter crumbs, if you have any questions, as always, email me and good luck!

Basia’s Bookshelf 2nd Blogoversary – Week 1 Giveaway

I'm Two!

Can you believe it? I feel like a dinosaur when all of these other blogs I love are just turning one and I’ve been plodding along all of this time, but somewhere around the end of October, Basia’s Bookshelf turned 2 (the exact date is murky since I merged two blogs to one name on October 27, 2010).

The blog has gone through some giant changes since the beginning. So, speaking of which. Hey, we’re blue! Every lady likes a makeover and I like them more frequently than others. It’s a curse. I did some housekeeping on the navigation bar to make it more useful hopefully. The Bookshelf Features tab is now solely dedicated to events that are ongoing – cover reveals, the Sunday Post and the monthly calendar is all by itself now. Archives is where the old memes have gone to play canasta and enjoy the Florida sunshine.

Not counting the..20 or so (slightly exaggerating) looks, colors and layouts I’ve played with, I started on Blogger, then free WordPress, now WordPress.org with my own host and software. I actually learned CSS. How did that happen? I’ve pretty much reviewed every genre and while it’s still a little bit of the “kitchen sink” here sometimes, I’m happy with where Cait and I have ended up. We review what we really love to read and I hope everyone’s enjoying it.

Speaking of the devil…now Cait is about a year or so old, bloggishwise. I lost the date when we merged with WordPress, but I believe it was last June/early July that Cait joined me officially. I’d been reading her reviews on her blog for a while and we’d been emailing and leaving comments for each other and I loved her to bits. When it worked out that she could join me, I jumped. FREE SLAVE LABOR! Sadly, no slave. Just a great friend, reviewer, sounding board and someone to tempt me into drinking Dr. Pepper again (drat).

Since I’m a firm believer in dragging things out, I’m turning what could have been a day’s event into a month of giving stuff away. I have some prize packages with books, swag and some cute Etsy things and then there are just books and books. It’s entirely possible that there’ll be a pop-up giveaway or two.

To the good stuff…

Since the theme is 2, I’m starting off with a giveaway based on just that. I can’t turn around anymore without falling in love with a series and nine times out of ten, I’m a book behind or I’ve missed one.

I’m giving away your choice of any two books in a series or set, valued at $22US or less. As always, regular books or ebooks are your choice as well.

This giveaway is open to entrants anyplace The Book Depository will ship to (US residents will receive delivery from Amazon.com). Entries will close at midnight on November 7th.
